Tóth Ferenc - Egri Bikavér Superior (2021)

Deep purple colour, dense wine. Fast opening and complex on the nose. The most noticeable traces of barrel ageing are spices, rum chestnut and chocolate notes. At the same time, there is a hint of violet florality and blueberry-blackberry fruitiness. It has a pleasant acidity, firm tannins that are still young, but well integrated into the character of a full-bodied, intense wine. The palate is rather dominated by ripe black cherry. Thick, almost bite-like, the wine is both taut and silky, its alcohol is warming both on the nose and on the palate. The finish is moderately long, delicately fruity, ending with a hint of chestnut character.

This wine is delicious with: Pasta, pizza, fried vegetables, meat casseroles, liver dishes, fried meats, meatballs and stews.
